Tesla Model Y Accessories Directory (Legacy & Juniper)

⚡ Quick Summary

This Tesla Model Y accessories directory is your one-stop resource for all of the things Model Y owners need or like to purchase — with fitment verified for both the Legacy (2020–early 2025) and Juniper (2025+) generations, plus dedicated sections for wheels, powered upgrades, and the base-trim (formerly “Standard”) and 7-seater questions most guides can’t answer.

Charging & Adapters

Charging gear connects at the charge port, which is the same NACS inlet on every Model Y — so this is the one category where Legacy vs Juniper mostly doesn’t split. The fitment risk here is different: connector type (NACS vs J1772) and hidden listing variants that swap amperage or certification under the same link. Our registry checks the resolved variant, not just the product page. For the full reasoning, see our guides to home charging setup and what charging actually costs.

Interior & Organization: Tesla Model Y Accessories That Split by Generation

This is where the Legacy/Juniper split bites hardest. Screens changed size (15″ → 15.4″ → 16″), the console changed molds, and floor pans changed shape. Match the exact years — “fits Model Y” alone is not a fitment statement. Our main roundup lives at best Model Y accessories; Juniper-specific picks at the Juniper accessories guide.

Exterior & Protection

Every item here is molded to a specific body, and the Juniper front end is a different shape — so nearly every row is a generation pair. Buy the row for your car, not the brand. Most legacy picks were vetted in our first accessories guide; Juniper cuts in the Juniper guide.

Wheels & Rim Covers

Wheel accessories are the highest-ticket, most fitment-sensitive category on the car — a rim protector is molded to one exact wheel design, not to “a Model Y.” Know your wheel before you buy: the designs you’ll see named in the listings below are Gemini, Induction, and Überturbine on legacy cars, and Crossflow, Aperture (Standard), and the 21″ Performance wheels on Junipers. Your wheel’s name is on your order sheet, or compare photos against the live listing.

Direct from the brand: EVBASE molds rim protectors for the Juniper wheels Amazon coverage is thinnest on — the Juniper Performance 21″ rim protector, the Juniper 19″ aluminum rim protector, and — for the trim nobody else covers — 18″ wheel covers for the Juniper Standard’s Aperture wheels.

Powered & Lighting Upgrades

This is the one category where Amazon is mostly the wrong store. We swept the field and nearly everything — ambient light kits, S3XY-style button docks, LED bulb sets — failed our review bar or turned out to be a knockoff of a product that isn’t sold on Amazon at all. One pick cleared it; the rest of this category will grow here as we verify direct-from-brand options.

Trunk LED light strip, cool white (Wigoo)Auto on/off with the trunk, adjustable brightness, COB stripAmazon✓ 2020–2024✓ incl. Juniper — NOT Model Y L

Why so short? Honesty over volume. Powered frunks, motorized sunshades, and quality ambient lighting are real upgrades, but they’re sold direct by their manufacturers, and we only list what we’ve verified and can stand behind. As those verifications land, this section grows — check back or tell us what to verify next.

Standard Trim & 7-Seater Fitment

The two questions accessory guides consistently can’t answer: “will this fit my 2025+ Standard?” and “what about my 7-seater?” Sellers have started printing trim exclusions directly in listings, and we read every one. Here’s what’s actually verified for both. One naming note first: Tesla retired the “Standard” trim name in early 2026 — the stripped-down base car is now badged simply as the Model Y (Rear-Wheel Drive), and a new lower-priced All-Wheel Drive joined the lineup alongside it. Listings haven’t caught up: exclusions still print “Standard,” so if you own the base car under either name, the “Standard” notes below are yours. No listing we’ve verified yet names the new All-Wheel Drive — treat its fitment as unverified for now.

7-seater picks (third row + trunk covered)

AccessoryOur takeWhere to buyLegacy 7-seater (2020–2025)Juniper 7-seater

Two honest gaps: we found no dedicated 7-seat cargo liner worth recommending (the one candidate failed our review bar — both mat sets above include the trunk mat, which covers it), and no product on Amazon currently claims Juniper 7-seat fitment at all. If you have a Juniper 7-seater, treat every listing as unverified until it names your configuration.

2025+ Standard & Performance: the exclusion list

We re-read every molded-part listing in this directory for trim language. Where a listing prints an exclusion, it’s reflected in that row’s Juniper cell above — and summarized here so Standard and Performance owners can scan one place. Listings that are simply silent on trims are marked in their rows too; silence is not a yes.

  • Explicitly fits all Juniper trims: Juniper console tray (Standard, Premium & Performance named) · REEVAA Juniper mud flaps (all trims named, not Model Y L).
  • Explicitly excludes Standard: SUPER LINER Juniper 11-pc mats (5-seat, not Standard) · CYBERBEANS kick mats (not Standard, Performance, or Model Y L) · Arcoche Juniper grille mesh (not 2026 Standard & Performance).
  • Standard not yet claimed by any verified listing: a 16″ screen protector for the base-trim cars — the Wigoo 16″ names only Performance, Premium 2026, and Model Y L · KAVANIC 19″ hubcaps (Crossflow RWD/AWD only). The Juniper Standard’s 18″ Aperture wheels are covered by the EVBASE covers in Wheels & Rim Covers.

Camping & Road Trips

Camp Mode is half the reason to own this car. Mattresses are cut to the folded-seat floor and window shades to the glass — both are generation-specific. Full setup guide: our Tesla camping setup; packing strategy: the road trip packing list.

Tech, Storage & Safety

Nothing here is molded, so both generations mostly check out — the traps are endurance ratings on storage and dead-listing swaps. Deep dives: our dashcam guide and why USB drives keep failing in Teslas.

Consumables and tools — no generation split on the chemicals, but the cabin filter itself is a molded part behind a molded panel: verify the filter’s listed years against your car before buying. How-tos: cabin filter replacement, fixing the musty AC smell, and windshield & camera cleaning.

FAQ

How do I know if my Model Y is a Juniper?

Juniper is the refreshed Model Y that replaced the original design for the 2025 model year in the US. Cars delivered from early 2025 onward with the refreshed body are Juniper; the 2020 through early-2025 original body is Legacy. If you’re unsure, check the model year on your registration or in the Tesla app, then see the year-by-year changes in our used Model Y year guide.

Will Legacy Model Y accessories fit a Juniper?

Molded parts — floor mats, console organizers, screen protectors, mud flaps, shades, grille mesh, rim protectors — generally won’t. They’re cut to a specific body and cabin. Charging equipment, storage, jump starters, and cleaning supplies carry over fine because they connect at ports or aren’t vehicle-shaped at all. When a listing genuinely covers both, our table marks both columns ✓.

Why do some Juniper listings exclude Standard or Performance trims?

The Juniper lineup split into trims that differ in interior details, and by 2026 sellers began printing exclusions directly in listing titles — for example, a kick mat listed as “Not for Standard” trims, or grille mesh that excludes 2026 Standard & Performance. Where our registry records an exclusion, the table names it — and the Standard Trim & 7-Seater section collects them in one place. If your car is a 2025+ Standard or Performance, treat every ✓ in the Juniper column as “read the listing’s trim line first.” (Tesla itself retired the “Standard” name in early 2026 — the base car is now the Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive — but seller language still uses it, so we keep it here too.)

What’s the deal with the 15.4″ vs 16″ screens?

The Juniper generation changed center screens mid-run: early Juniper cars use a 15.4″ panel, and the 16″ panel became standard on all new US Model Ys from June 5, 2026. The two panels differ in width and aspect ratio, so screen protectors are not interchangeable between them — that’s why the directory carries separate 15.4″ and 16″ rows. Measure or check your spec before ordering.

Do chargers and adapters care which Model Y I have?

No — every Model Y uses the same NACS charge port, so home chargers, portable chargers, and adapters work across both generations. The real risk in that category is connector and variant confusion (NACS vs J1772 versions of the same product under one listing), which is exactly what our verification process checks.

Our Honest Verdict

Shop this list in two passes. First, pin down your car: generation (Legacy vs Juniper), trim, seat count, and — for Juniper — screen size and wheel design. Second, only then open the listings, and read the fitment line on the live page even for ✓ rows, because sellers revise listings without notice. Start with the boring, high-payoff categories (floor mats, charging, a Sentry drive) before the fun ones. And treat any listing that just says “for Tesla Model Y” with no years as a red flag — that’s the exact ambiguity this directory exists to remove.

Missing something?

This directory grows in batches. If there’s an accessory type you want verified — or you’ve caught a fitment surprise on your own car that contradicts a listing — drop it in the comments. Reader reports of real-world fitment (especially on 2025+ Standard and Performance trims and 7-seaters) directly shape what we verify next.

About This Directory

This directory is maintained by a multi-Tesla owner and is built from a verification registry, not from marketplace search results. Every row’s fitment language is taken from the product’s live listing at the time of verification, and each row carries a last-verified date in our registry. We re-verify listings on a rolling sweep and update this page as fitment changes — listings drift, variants swap, and trim exclusions appear, so the date matters. Nothing here is sponsored placement; picks come from the same vetting used across the site’s reviews.

Last updated: August 2026. Fitment verified per-row; see individual reviews for detail.
